[one_third]Mathias Schaffhäuser ist seit 1994 in der Techno-, House- und Minimal-Szene unterwegs, als seine erste House-EP auf Definitive Records veröffentlicht wurde. 25 Jahre später ist er immer noch dabei. 2019 gab es die zweite Veröffentlichung seines Fanatico-Projekts ‚Love And Dancing On The Brink‘ auf Hallucienda im November (Vinyl und CD im Januar 2020), sowie die September-Veröffentlichung seines neuen Albums ‚Hedonism, What Else‘ auf Snork Enterprises, neue EPs auf Fenou, Biotop Label und Ware Records, sowie mehrere Remixe.
Im Februar 2020 veröffentlichte Mathias‘ Label WARE seinen Katalog Nummer 100. Um dieses Jubiläum zu feiern, veröffentlichte Mathias die EP „A Hundred Acts Of Devotion“ mit 5 neuen Tracks. Im Oktober 2020 erschien „On The Brink, Vol. 1“, die erste Remix-EP von FANATICOs Album „Love & Dancing On The Brink“, mit Man Power, Warehouse Preservation Society und Ulysses als Remixer.
[/one_third] [one_third]Im Jahr 2018 gab es bereits einen Grund zum Feiern: Das 20-jährige Jubiläum von WARE wurde mit 3 Veröffentlichungen mit überarbeiteten und geremixten Ware-Klassikern wie „Nice To Meet You“ und „Desire“ gewürdigt. Auch 3 weitere EPs auf Tiefschwarz‘ Souvenir Music, dem legendären britischen Label Third Ear und dem Biotop Label sind 2018 erschienen.
Weitere Veröffentlichungen von Mathias sind auf Mo’s Ferry Productions, Compost, Tic Tac Toe Rec., Kompakt, Force Inc., Multicolor, BluFin Records, Adjunct, WIR Recordings, Blaou Sounds und vielen anderen erschienen. 1997 gründete er WARE und veröffentlichte 99 EPs (Stand: April 2019). Sein im Jahr 2000 veröffentlichtes Album Lido Hotel mit dem bekannten Track Nice To Meet You markierte seinen Durchbruch in der Techno-Szene.
[/one_third] [one_third_last]2001 folgte sein massiver Club-Hit Hey Little Girl, und 2002 durchdrang Musik ohne Bass die Clubs. Im April 2005 veröffentlichte er sein Album Coincidance, dessen Titeltrack erfolgreich von Trentemøller geremixt wurde. Auf seinem Album Unequal Equality (2009) kollaborierte Mathias mit Lucy, Alex Smoke, Xhin, And.id, Benjamin Brunn und vielen anderen. Außerdem produzierte er Remixe für Steve Bug (LoverBoy), Luomo (Tessio), Faust, [A]pendics.Shuffle, Goldfrapp, Pan-Pot, Indoor Life, Northern Lite, Dapayk & Padberg – um nur einige zu nennen.
Als DJ lautet Schaffhäusers Motto an den Turntables: „Purismus ist scheiße!“ Die Qualität der Musik steht im Vordergrund, nicht die reine Funktionalität und Trendigkeit. Seine Sets sind mitunter sehr abwechslungsreich und reichen von seinem ganz eigenen Stil über dreckigen + dunklen House bis hin zu stampfendem Techno. [one_third]Mathias Schaffhäuser has been on the techno, house and minimal scene since 1994 when his first House EP was released on Definitive Records. 25 years later he is still at. 2019 saw the sophomore release from his Fanatico project ‚Love And Dancing On The Brink‘ on Hallucienda in November (vinyl and CD in January 2020), as well as the September release of his new album ‚Hedonism, What Else‘ on Snork Enterprises, new EPs on Fenou, Biotop Label and Ware Records, and several remixes.
In Febuary 2020, Mathias‘ label WARE released its catalogue number 100. To celebrate this anniversary Mathias released the EP „A Hundred Acts Of Devotion“ with 5 new tracks. October 2020 saw the release of „On The Brink, Vol. 1“, the first remix EP of FANATICO’s album „Love & Dancing On The Brink“, featuring Man Power, Warehouse Preservation Society and Ulysses on remix duty.
